Nyaung Shwe Cultural Museum - The museum is the former palace (haw) of Shan Saopha.   

Shwe Yaunghwe Kyaung with the oval shaped window in ancient teak is a good place to photograph.  The monastery is over 100 years old.

Yadana Man Aung Pagoda is the oldest and most important Buddhist Temple in Nyaung Shwe.

Mingalar Markeis where you can find local food stall, fresh vegetables and handicrafts.

Htet Eain Gu Cave and Monastery to visit.

Red Mountain Estate Vineyards and Winery is with one of the best view in Nyaung Shwe. It is situated on the top of the hill where you can watch a sunset and enjoy a beautiful viewpoint of Inle Lake while enjoying local wine.

Main Thouk Bridge - Walk along the wooden bridge and then catch a boat for a tour around the village to see how local people live. You can also visit to Forest Monastery on the hill for a good view over Inle Lake.

Five Day Market

One of the most popular things about tripping along to Inle is to visit the market. Five day market is so named because the market located around the lakeshore rotate to five different locations over 5 days. During the market day, many tribes are represented including Pa-O, Taung Yo, Inntha, Danu and Shan.  They will come down from the surrounding villages to the market and sell their unique products for both local use and trading.

Inle Lake 

Inle Lake is one of the most famous and surreal destination for travellers.  Inle lake is located in Nyaung Shwe Township. The lake is 22 km long and 10 km wide. It is famous for stilt-house villages, floating gardens, and unique lifestyle of local Inntha people. The unique technique of Inntha fishermen steer their boat by wrapping one leg around their oar is one of the attractions of the Inle Lake.
